River Rock Therapy
Dana Polley helps women who feel stretched thin understand themselves, at a pace that never pushes. We built her website around her own metaphor, river rocks shaped by gentle, steady movement.

Oh my gosh, I love the site! Thank you so much for all your work on it!
A therapist who starts from understanding
Dana Polley is a licensed therapist who works with women navigating transitions, in their identity, their relationships and their sense of self. Before private practice she spent years as a school-based therapist with children and families, learning to see people in the full context of their lives. Becoming a mother, and the overwhelm that came with it, shaped how she works now.
Her starting belief is simple and precise. Everything you're experiencing makes sense. Her clients don't need to be fixed. They need room to understand what is happening inside them.
Her metaphor became the design
“River rocks aren't shaped by pressure — they're shaped by consistent, gentle movement over time.” That is how Dana describes her work, so we made the website move the same way.
Sections settle into place like water finding its level. The water at the top of the homepage ripples where your cursor touches it. Her portrait holds still on the About page while her story moves past it. River stones, moss, sage and soft cream carry the palette, and light Cormorant headlines give every page room to breathe.
Room to read before anyone asks you to act
A woman who isn't sure she needs therapy can read at her own pace. Individual therapy, upcoming groups and workshops, and Dana's recommended resources each have a clear place, and a free consultation is one step away on every page without ever pushing.

A system that holds as the practice grows
Dana's Visual Brand Guide records the palette, typography, imagery and movement rules, so every new page, workshop and resource stays part of the same calm world. The site launched September 22, 2026 with an A and zero issues on its launch audit, scoring 99 on mobile and 100 on desktop in Google's PageSpeed tests.
