Empower Healing
Alison Leslie teaches therapists to bring the body and the human-animal bond into trauma care. Her new website gives that expertise the prominence it deserves.
A specialist other therapists come to learn from
Alison Leslie brings together EMDR, somatic therapy, and the human-animal bond in her clinical work. She also teaches other professionals how to bring those approaches into their own practices, through consultation, international presentations, and training with Trauma Therapist Institute.
An EMDRIA-approved trainer and consultant and a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, Alison has contributed to the Handbook of Animal Assisted Therapy and written about EMDR and the human-animal bond. Her work gives clinicians practical ways to deepen their understanding of trauma and connection.
Empower Healing needed to present that depth. We rebuilt the website around Alison's role as a teacher and specialist, with a visual identity that conveys the warmth people experience in her work.
Bring her teaching into the first impression
The earlier homepage introduced a counseling practice and listed its modalities. Alison's consultation credentials appeared further down the page. A clinician had to read past the general introduction to discover someone they could learn from.
The new opening names training and consultation immediately. A dedicated section for fellow clinicians explains how Alison helps them work with complex cases, deepen their skills, and build confidence. Her teaching becomes a central reason to choose Empower Healing.

Let the design express the care behind her expertise
Nature, animals, and close attention to bodily experience run through Alison's work. We built a custom AI image library around that identity, with soft window light, purple succulents, botanical illustrations, and inviting interiors.
The large succulent at the opening gives the practice a recognizable image. Deep indigo sections frame Alison's story and credentials; quieter passages give readers space to take in the work. Her own photographs keep Alison and her relationship with animals present throughout the site.
A complete visual identity, down to the smallest detail
The same palette carries through full-width scenes, close-up plant textures, and small botanical illustrations. These custom assets let the clinical pages and training materials belong to one distinctive practice, with imagery made for Alison's brand.
Show the depth of the professional behind the practice
Alison's About page connects her years of animal-assisted work with her study of EMDR and Somatic Experiencing. Her credentials and published work support that story. Visitors can understand how she developed her approach and why other clinicians seek her guidance.
The training page gives her teaching a substantial presentation of its own. Courses on EMDR, somatic therapy, and the human-animal bond appear with distinct imagery and direct paths to the organizations offering them. Her professional contribution is visible as a body of work people can study.
Keep personal therapy easy to find
People seeking care have a clearly named route alongside professional consultation and training. The service pages explain the options and lead into a brief introductory call. Alison can lead with her teaching while remaining accessible to the people who want to work with her directly.
