The Rabbit Hole
A 1920s Wonderland brand world and members' app for a private AI design community. The brand makes people want in. The app runs the door.
The Rabbit Hole is a private, invitation-only community for designers and builders making things with AI. It needed two things at once: a brand that made the invitation feel like an event, and an app to run the room.
A private community lives or dies on how it feels to be let in. Most member portals feel like software. This one had to feel like a place.
So the brand does its work before you ever log in.
The world is 1920s Wonderland, a cousin of the one we built for AI Designers Academy. A white rabbit in a gold top hat. Playing cards in the brand pink, worn soft at the corners. Falling down the rabbit hole is the point of joining, and the imagery says so.
The invitation is the first deliverable. By the time a new member gets their acceptance email, the room already has a mood, a cast, and a door worth knocking on.
Underneath the velvet, a working app. Members get a directory of everyone in the room, and the room runs its own door: admitting someone takes one click, which updates the access list and sends their invitation. Nothing to copy, nothing to forget.
The brand makes people want in. The app makes letting them in effortless.
That's the whole argument for branding a community like a place: a room has to feel like somewhere before anyone asks to be in it.
