Walter Brown
A flexible AI headshot library for a developer, balancing the credibility his work needed with the warmth his brand was missing.
Walter Brown needed a new set of headshots for his website, but not the standard stiff, over-polished kind that make everyone look like they're applying for regional bank management.
His work as a developer needed credibility, but his brand also needed warmth.
The goal was to create a set of portraits that balanced both sides: professional enough to establish trust, casual enough to feel human.
Because expertise builds confidence, but personality builds connection.
We created a mix of polished business portraits and candid co-working scenes, giving him a flexible image library he could use across his website, social media, and speaking opportunities.
And because brand photography doesn't have to stay in one room, we took a few creative liberties too, including a quick stop in Paris.
The result is a headshot library that feels grounded, approachable, and fully aligned with the person behind the code.
Diane somehow managed to make me look both competent and approachable, which is a difficult balance for most developers. The whole process was fast, easy, and the results felt surprisingly like me.
