Templates That Sell
A neutral, considered stock library built for a template shop. The point was the products. The images had to disappear.
Templates That Sell is a Squarespace template shop where the product itself has to do the selling.
The challenge was simple: the marketing visuals were competing with the templates.
Most stock photography is built to grab attention. Bright colors, busy compositions, overly specific scenes. Fine for a standalone ad. Bad for selling design. The eye lands on the image instead of the product.
When the product is visual, support imagery has to know its place.
We built a custom AI stock library designed to do the opposite.
Neutral palettes. Quiet styling. Clean compositions. Negative space. Every image was created to frame the templates, not fight them.
The strategy was restraint.
The library includes backgrounds, lifestyle scenes, and conceptual assets that can flex across product pages, email campaigns, and social media while maintaining a consistent visual system.
The goal wasn’t to make the images stand out. It was to make the templates stand out.
This project proves that good brand imagery doesn’t always demand attention. Sometimes its job is to direct it.
